A blog about book blogging

Today, I wondered whether it was worth contacting book bloggers. I have seen a few enthusiastic book bloggers on Youtube and some of their reviews were interesting. These were people who have a passion for reading books so it made sense to reach out and ask them if they would be interested in reviewing my book (when it is ready to be published!). However, doubts crossed my mind and so I did a bit of searching to see what was the best way to go about this.

Since I started my journey to become an author, there was a lot I did not know and I expected there was a method of ‘conducting business’! Therefore I was not surprised to discover there were ‘good practice’ ways to reaching out to bloggers.

Tckpublishing has a good article detailing nine steps you should consider, such as learning about the bloggers, reading their policies and do not demand anything in return for the review https://www.tckpublishing.com/9-mistakes-with-book-bloggers/

A prowritingaid blog detailed who the bloggers were, where to find them and how to work with them https://prowritingaid.com/art/1203/how-to-reach-out-to-book-bloggers-and-book-influencers-to-promote-your-book.aspx

For now, I will concentrate on writing my books and developing a back catalogue before reaching out!
